I think Apple could emerge as a winner out out of the delayed AI launch failure. Their strategy seemed to always be, let’s wait it out. Interested to see if the same happens here as well 👀

Love it, great insights! Less is more 💯

I missed this first time around

Love the way you dissect current affairs and wedge in the lessons from the past

The bit about adding when you don’t trust the core feels painfully true.

I’ve definitely padded offers before because the simple version felt too exposed.

Then you realise the extra bits weren’t helping. They were just giving everyone more places to get confused.

The reframe that landed hardest: complexity isn't a feature, it's what you add when you don't fully trust the core of what you're offering.

The hardest part of subtraction is trusting that less will actually work better.

What you remove tells the market more about who you are than what you keep.

The interesting thing is seeing how people who worked at Apple and had that minimalist esthetic drummed into them over years now carry those traditions forward.

Jony Ive with the Ferrari Luce. Tony Faddell with the Nest.

Seeing as the big AI bros are bleeding billions it is plain they need to take something away from their current offerings.

My pick is their overbearing nanny state safety nonsense, which is really politically correct narrative maintenance in code.

What do you think?
